Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion Information and Schedule
Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion is located on campus at the University of Washington Seattle. The Arena is home to the UW men’s and women’s basketball teams, women’s volleyball, and gymnastics. The arena opened in 1927 and underwent a major renovation in 1999. The seating capacity for basketball games is 10,000, half of which are chairs, the other half are bleachers and most have backs. In 2019, the men’s basketball team became the first college team to ever win 1,000 games in the same arena —a testament to the longevity and timelessness of the building. Alaska Airlines Arena has plentiful parking and is conveniently located about a three-minute walk from the University of Washington Link Rail Station.
